Gajar ka halwa was first introduced during the Mughal period and the name originates from the Arabic word "halwa", which means "sweet"
It is a combination of grated carrots, nuts, milk, sugar, and ghee .Gajar ka halwa is a light nutritious dessert with less fat than many other typical sweets from the subcontinent.
INGREDIENTS:
Grated Carrots. 1.5kg
Milk 2 litres
Ghee half cup
Sugar 250g (or as per taste)
Soaked dry fruit for garnishing (Optional)
