Did you know exercise could potentially prevent cancer or improve the outcome in a person with cancer? Check this out!

0:00 Introduction: Exercise for cancer
0:45 Cancer cells vs. normal cells
4:10 Synthetic antioxidants and cancer
4:55 Natural cancer preventatives
5:37 The benefits of exercise for cancer
7:14 Check out my video on what to eat if you have cancer!

Today I want to cover the potent effect of exercise on cancer. Study after study shows a major decrease in risk of certain cancers when a person exercises—we’re going to talk about why.

Normal cells and cancer cells are very different. A normal cell uses a lot of oxygen, but a cancer cell doesn’t have to use oxygen at all. A normal cell also has a lot of mitochondria, and a cancer cell doesn’t. A normal cell has a limited lifespan, whereas a cancer cell can live forever.

A normal cell is triggered to die, and that trigger comes from a byproduct of using oxygen called ROS. ROS is a reactive group of chemicals that influence the body and react to the body.

Cancer cells have a deficiency of ROS, but normal cells have an abundance of ROS. The more oxygen you can give your cells, the more ROS you will have to trigger apoptosis (cell death).

This is one reason why things that lower oxygen enhance cancer—like smoking, an infection, or inflammation. Chronic stress and high glucose also cause lowered oxygen.

Research has shown that certain synthetic antioxidants can increase the risk of cancer. Could it be that the chemicals in synthetic antioxidants lower oxygen and therefore lower the apoptosis in cancer cells? I think so.

It’s crucial to understand this concept because there are things you can try to help potentially prevent cancer or slow things down if you have cancer.

One of the biggest things that will increase oxygen and ROS is exercise. Exercise can increase your oxygen by 10 to 20 times and ROS by 1000 times.

Exercise also improves your blood sugars and insulin resistance, which can decrease the risk of cancer. If you exercise outside, you’ll get vitamin D and infrared light. Both have been known to decrease the risk of cancer.

Exercise will also increase the number of mitochondria to produce more oxygen and ROS. Lastly, exercise will help improve your immune system to help you fight cancer.

Besides exercise, one of the best things you can do to help fight cancer and potentially prevent cancer is to get on the correct diet. To learn more about the best diet to support your health, check out my videos on Healthy Keto.

I explain what eating fat can do for your metabolism.

Timestamps:
0:00 Can you boost your metabolism by eating more fat?
1:19 Fat is key to helping heal your metabolism
5:51 Let’s differentiate between metabolism and weight loss

I was asked if you can boost your metabolism by eating more fat.

First, you need to know that of all the foods you can eat, fat is the lowest on the insulin index. Insulin is the hormone that stores fat and also prevents you from tapping into fat.

The amount of insulin in your body affects your metabolism more than anything. The amount of insulin also relates to the amount of insulin resistance you have. Your body will keep making more insulin which will keep slowing down your metabolism to the point where no matter what you can’t lose weight.

To speed up your metabolism keep insulin low. Also, eating fat will satisfy you, keep you from being hungry for longer, and allow you to do intermittent fasting a lot longer. Intermittent fasting is another tool to reduce insulin and help heal insulin resistance to the point where your metabolism is a lot faster.

Fat is a key thing to help you heal your metabolism!

Let’s talk about another diet called the Ideal Protein Diet. The good thing is that it’s low carb so it will lower your insulin and you can lose weight. They do recommend vegetables, which is good. But the bad thing is that it's low fat. With low fat, you’ll be hungry all the time. This is why they recommend four meals per day.

Another problem is they recommend powdered protein meals with low-quality ingredients such as soy (which is usually GMO), milk proteins, and whey proteins along with synthetic vitamins. Low-quality protein and low fat can cause your hair and skin to dry out, and your appearance to age. I’ve noticed people also have problems with their gallbladder, liver, and even have gallstones. You’ll lose weight initially but then at stage 3, you’re allowed to put back the grains and sweet items.

The maintenance diet is full of refined carbs, and low-fat dairy items. The problem is that this diet is meant for weight loss but not for health. And my motto is you need to get healthy to lose weight.

I want to differentiate between metabolism and weight loss. Fat itself won’t directly help your metabolism; instead, because it helps improve insulin resistance, it will support weight loss.

But if you’re consuming a lot of fat your body will break down a good proportion into ketones which your body will then use as fuel. So potentially if you’re consuming too much fat that can help your metabolism but you won’t lose weight because your body is using dietary fat not tapping into your own fat stores.

The best remedy for arthritis could be growing in your backyard right now.

0:00 Introduction: Relieve arthritis pain

5:58 Check out my video on fasting for inflammation and pain!

Today I’m going to share the best remedy for arthritis. This herb is probably in your backyard and can greatly help with arthritis, muscle pain, or joint pain.

The best herb for arthritis is stinging nettle. We don’t know exactly how, but stinging nettle greatly helps reduce inflammation and pain.

Stinging nettle is edible and contains a lot of nutrition. But, for arthritis, you may want to try using it topically. If it’s not already growing near you, consider growing stinging nettle instead of buying a supplement.

Stinging nettle root can also be used to help with prostate enlargement, and the leaves can be used to help reduce histamines. Stinging nettle also acts as a natural aromatase inhibitor, so it’s great for those who have too much estrogen.

1:30 Causes of belly fat
2:55 Ten foods that help you lose belly fat
10:45 Check out my video on which foods to avoid to lose belly fat!

Today I'm going to cover the top 10 foods that help you lose belly fat.

Cortisol is a stress hormone that turns protein into sugar. It causes your liver to make new sugar out of non-carbohydrate sources, such as fat, ketones and protein.

If your cortisol is really high, your body will make a lot of sugar. This increase in sugar will elevate insulin, and insulin makes belly fat. Consuming a high-carb diet and sugar, or eating too frequently can also cause your insulin to spike, leading to belly fat.

You'll typically notice belly fat after the liver is already fatty because a lot of the visceral fat around the organs comes from a spill-off of fat from the liver. So, the best foods to help you lose belly fat address lowering insulin, lowering cortisol or supporting the liver.

Ten foods that help you lose belly fat:
1. Eggs
2. Salmon
3. Cod liver and cod liver oil
4. Sauerkraut
5. Cruciferous vegetables
6. Hamburger
7. Avocados
8. Broccoli sprouts
9. Asparagus
10. Nutritional yeast (non-fortified)

8:04 Keto diet tips

If you're new to Dr. Berg's channel, this is the second of many helpful videos to watch. The first video was made specifically to help those of you looking for keto basics and how to start keto. In this video, Dr. Berg continues to build on the intermittent fasting and healthy keto basics shared in the first video. If you have friends or family members wondering how to start keto as well, don't forget to point them to this video too!

Learn more about healthy keto and intermittent fasting:

1. Go as long as you can in the morning without eating. Don't eat unless you are hungry.

You need to keep pushing it to the point where your body is fully adapted to fat-burning, and you're no longer in sugar-burning. Adapting to ketosis could take 3-5 days or longer.

While on the healthy keto diet, try doing 2 meals a day with a 4 hour eating window, which will give you a 20 hour fasting period. This can give you major results, except if you're dealing with issues like:

• Menopause
• A slow thyroid condition
• A history of dieting
• A slow metabolism

If you're struggling with one of the issues above, you may need to start only eating one meal a day on the ketogenic diet to see significant results. But, in some cases, you still may not see results or weight loss. In this case, you may have to have one meal every other day until the system heals.

2. What to eat during meals while doing the healthy keto diet and intermittent fasting:

Meal Option 1:
• Eggs (2-4) – pasture-raised organic
• Avocado
• Cheese - high-quality, organic, grass-fed
• Bacon - nitrate-free, organic, less than 1g of sugar
• Nut Butter – almond butter, peanut butter (sugar-free)

Meal Option 2:
• Meat (3-6 oz.)
• Vegetables or salad (with olive oil + vinegar) (SIBO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQESlxQKIm8)
• Nuts / Seeds

Meal Option 3:
• Fish / Sea Food – salmon, sardines (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STZg0R7p_NM)
• Salad
• Fat bomb

Meal Option 4:
• Chicken (with skin)
• Asparagus
• Olives

Important Things to Remember:
• It's okay to consume vitamins any time of the day
• It's okay to consume ACV (apple cider vinegar) and lemon
• It's okay to consume coffee and tea (only one in the morning—try a bulletproof coffee with MCT oil)
• If you have an urge to snack, it means you need more fat and greens
• If you have cravings for bread, then you need more B vitamins (electrolytes, B vitamins, and nutritional yeast)
• Consume sea salt
• Get exercise (the best time to exercise is when you're fasting)
• It can take 3 to 5 days or longer to fully keto-adapt (the way to know you are in ketosis is if you don't crave anymore)

Here’s how you can reduce gas fast!

DATA:
https://youtu.be/Zv_nSaJ0rSM

0:00 Introduction: How to STOP Flatulence (Farting): THIS REALLY WORKS!
2:33 What causes flatulence?
4:39 How to restore stomach acidity
7:32 Food intolerance
8:31 Avoid these gas-producing foods
10:05 Avoid sugar alcohols
11:20 Avoid chewing gum
11:41 Avoid carbonation

In this video, we’re going to talk about how to stop flatulence.

The average person passes gas between 5 and 15 times per day with no odor. If you have a poor diet, you might experience more flatulence each day.

What causes flatulence? Check out these six causes and remedies for gas.

#1 Low stomach acidity
Flatulence is hydrogen and methane gas created by microbes in the process of carbohydrate and fiber fermentation.

This process is supposed to occur in your large intestine. When it occurs in your small intestine, this is related to SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). SIBO can cause many other digestive issues.

Your stomach pH should be between 1 and 3—this is highly acidic. Without high stomach acidity, your digestive process is put under stress, causing many digestive issues.

The best remedies for low stomach acidity:
• Betaine hydrochloride
• Apple cider vinegar

Ginger can also help soothe the stomach.

#2 Food intolerance
Another cause of gas is food intolerance. Lactose intolerance is a common problem that happens when your body lacks the enzymes that break down lactose. In turn, this causes excess gas. You can avoid lactose or take enzymes that help break down lactose.

Gluten intolerance is also common—if you’re on Healthy Keto, you don’t have to worry about gluten or grains.

Probiotics can help fortify your microbes and potentially increase enzyme production.

#3 Gas-producing foods
Avoid these common gas-producing foods:
• Fruit
• Beans
• Legumes
• Starches (like potatoes and rice)
• Sugar
• Certain cruciferous vegetables (Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage)
• Onions

Instead, consume more:
• Lettuce
• Tomato
• Zucchini
• Olives
• Avocado

#4 Sugar alcohols and fiber
Keto-friendly low-calorie sweeteners, sugar alcohols, and fiber can cause digestive discomfort when consumed in excess. If you begin to experience gas, reduce your intake of these keto treats.

#5 Chewing gum
Chewing gum and chewing with your mouth open can cause you to swallow excess air. Avoid chewing with your mouth open.

#6 Carbonation
Soda and other carbonated drinks can increase gas in your system.

3:00 Hibiscus tea for high blood pressure
4:40 Other benefits of hibiscus tea
5:08 How to use hibiscus tea for high blood pressure

Today I want to share a simple remedy for high blood pressure. It’s important to figure out the root cause of your high blood pressure and fix that issue. But, in the meantime, hibiscus tea is a fantastic natural remedy for high blood pressure that has virtually no side effects.

Different studies on hibiscus tea have reported significant blood pressure lowering effects in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Some studies suggest it may be almost as effective or just as effective as certain blood pressure medications.

Hibiscus tea may have a slight diuretic effect, but it doesn’t reduce potassium. It can also help lower triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.

The pigments in hibiscus flowers are composed of a certain phytonutrient that acts as a natural ACE inhibitor. Many different blood pressure medications are ACE inhibitors.

Try drinking hibiscus tea for about six weeks to see the full effect. You may also want to focus on getting your vitamin D and potassium levels higher. Just be sure to check with your doctor before drinking hibiscus tea if you take a diuretic.

Other benefits of hibiscus tea:
• Studies suggest it may help inhibit gastric cancer by up to 52%.
• Studies have shown that the phytonutrients in hibiscus tea have antimicrobial properties that may be as effective as certain antibiotics and more effective than penicillin.
• One study showed that it may help you decrease fat on your liver.

5:39 Need keto consulting?

In this video, we’re going to talk about 9 ways to boost your stress tolerance. If you’re someone who regularly gets flustered when driving behind a slow driver, or if you regularly feel stress at work, this video is for you.

Take a look at these 9 ways to increase your stress tolerance.

1. Increase your sleep - If you aren’t getting enough sleep at night, you’re not going to be able to be patient and stress-free throughout the day. Avoid blue light before bed and get 7-8 hours of quality sleep.

2. Get plenty of vitamin B1 - Vitamin B1 directly affects your tolerance to stress. Get vitamin B1 from a natural source, like nutritional yeast.

3. Lower your carbohydrates - A high-carb diet will cause significant blood sugar and insulin fluctuations, which can cause significant irritability and boost your stress.

4. Avoid the news - The news can be overwhelmingly negative, and it can add unnecessary fear and stress to your life.

5. Exercise - Exercise increases the oxygen in your blood and lowers your stress naturally. Long walks are especially good for lowering your stress levels.

6. Magnesium - This mineral is great for lowering your stress levels. 7 cups of vegetables and a bottle of mineral water a day will give you plenty of magnesium.

7. Vitamin D - Get plenty of sunlight or supplement vitamin D. Vitamin D helps reduce stress and anxiety as well as support healthy sleep.

8. Ketones - Ketones elevate your mood and promote healthy stress levels. Get on keto and intermittent fasting.

9. Change your environment - Get outside and enjoy nature. This can really help slow down your pace and get rid of stress.

Leave a comment below with your current stress level and let me know how these tips help you this week.

Today we’re going to talk about the health benefits of apple cider vinegar. While apple cider vinegar is being made, certain microbes like bacteria and yeast turn the sugar in apple juice into alcohol, and then eventually into vinegar. The end product vinegar is called acetic acid. Apple juice that’s not pasteurized goes through the process of fermentation. With the help of microbes, it eventually turns into vinegar.

I like the organic raw unpasteurized version of apple cider vinegar. I have found that BRAGG is a good brand of apple cider vinegar. It also has “the mother,” which means it has some residue of fiber pectin, bacteria, and yeast.

The main benefits of apple cider vinegar come from acetic acid. But, if it’s raw, it will also be rich in enzymes, which can help with digestion. You don’t want pasteurized apple cider vinegar. If it’s an organic apple cider vinegar, this means that it won’t have pesticides and added chemicals.

Apple cider vinegar health benefits:

1. Digestion – speeds up digestion and activates enzymes
2. Controls pathogens
3. Increases the absorption of minerals and vitamins
4. Decreases gas, bloating, and indigestion
5. Decreases acid reflux
6. Releases bile/enzymes
7. Breaks down protein
8. Blood sugars improvement – weight loss
9. Supports the immune system – stimulates the white blood cells to speed up and help fight infections

It may be beneficial to mix 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 16 oz. of water. You can also add some lemon juice, and have this before or after a meal. If you don’t like the taste, you can also take apple cider vinegar in pill form.

Follow these three easy steps to get rid of sciatic nerve pain fast.

0:00 Introduction: What is sciatica?
0:45 How to relieve sciatica in three steps
1:28 Step 1: Reestablish the curve
3:10 Step 2: Stimulate opposing sciatic nerve
6:50 Step 3: Stretch the quad muscle
7:30 Thanks for watching

In this video, we’re going to talk about three easy steps you can use to fix sciatic nerve pain.

What is sciatica? Sciatica is pain that travels from your lower back down the back of one leg.

90% of the time, sciatica pain is due to a problem with a spinal disk.

The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the body. It runs from your lower back to the bottom of your foot.

Before you use these three steps to help get rid of sciatic nerve pain, rate your pain from 1 to 10. You’ll rate your pain again after you're finished.

Here’s what you’ll need the following things:
• A foam roller OR a towel to roll up
• A tennis ball OR someone who can lend a hand

Try these three steps for getting rid of sciatica.

Step 1: reestablish the curve in your lower back
Sitting too long can cause your natural lower back curve to straighten out. Reestablishing this curve is important for getting rid of sciatica.

Simply take your foam roller or towel and lay on it with it under your lower back for five minutes, twice a day. Watch the video at two minutes and twenty seconds to see how it’s done.

Step 2: Stimulate the opposing sciatic nerve
Never stimulate the side of the nerve that is causing you pain. If you have pain on your right side, massage the left side.

If you don’t have someone to help massage the back of your leg, use a tennis ball under your leg while sitting or laying.

Watch the video at three minutes and thirty seconds to see how it’s done.

Step 3: Stretch the quad muscle on the same side you have sciatica
You want to stretch your quadriceps on the same side you have pain. You can do this by holding one leg up with your hand while holding onto the back of a chair or other solid object.

Watch the video at seven minutes and fifteen seconds to see how it’s done.

Try these three steps and rate your pain again. Let me know what your results are in the comments below.

This is the best nutrient for autoimmune conditions, and it’s being used in an interesting protocol for these conditions. Check this out!

5:53 Vitamin D for autoimmune conditions
7:30 Vitamin D resistance
10:15 How to do the Coimbra protocol
13:35 Check out my video on vitamin D toxicity!

Let’s talk about the best nutrient for autoimmune conditions. This information is based on an interesting protocol developed by Dr. Coimbra.

According to Dr. Coimbra, “all or nearly all patients with an autoimmune disease have an increased resistance to the effects of vitamin D.”

So, someone with an autoimmune disease may have not only a deficiency of vitamin D but also a resistance to vitamin D. This means that to raise the vitamin D levels in patients with an autoimmune condition, they may require a much higher dose than the average person without an autoimmune disorder.

In general, the medical health care system recommends taking only 600 IU of vitamin D per day. However, other credible sources discuss taking at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D with no risks.

The chemistry of vitamin D is very similar to steroid hormones. With an autoimmune condition, your immune system is out of control and is attacking itself. But, one of the incredible functions of vitamin D is its ability to act as an immune regulator. Vitamin D can also help reduce inflammation, which is common in autoimmune conditions.

The more resistant you are to vitamin D, the higher your risk is for autoimmune disease and other conditions.

Other potential causes of resistance to vitamin D:
• Vitamin D polymorphism
• Darker skin
• Metabolic syndrome or insulin resistance
• Obesity
• Age
• A lack of vitamin D in the diet
• A lack of sun exposure

Keep in mind that it’s very important to find a doctor that is experienced with the Coimbra protocol to work with you while doing the protocol.

This protocol determines the vitamin D dosage by measuring your parathyroid hormone. The goal of this protocol is to drop your parathyroid hormone into the lower level of the normal range.

The amount of vitamin D that someone would take could range from 40,000 IU per day to 200,000 IU per day. To minimize the main potential side effect of this protocol (hypercalcemia), you would want to avoid calcium and drink 2.5 liters of fluid per day.

Contact a doctor who is experienced in the Coimbra protocol to get started.

Did you know these foods are GMO? Check this out!

0:00 Introduction: A deeper look at GMO foods
0:25 What are bioengineered food ingredients?
4:08 Unexpected GMO foods
5:25 Check out this video on what "GMO" really means!

Let's talk about GMO foods and identify some foods you may not have realized are actually GMO.

Some food manufacturing companies are putting a new term on their labels, "bioengineered food ingredients."

The definition of bioengineered food ingredients:
"Food that contains detectable genetic material that has been modified through certain lab techniques that cannot be created through conventional breeding or found in nature."

Certain companies were concerned that their products would be labeled as GMO and that people would avoid them. So, they decided to develop a new term, "bioengineered food ingredients," and gave it branding to make it appear healthy.

"Bioengineered food ingredients" is essentially another name for GMO. But, this new term now allows companies to bypass the GMO labeling problem they were having.

On top of that, once a product has been highly processed, the traces of GMO become undetectable, and the company no longer has to add the label stating it contains bioengineered food ingredients.

They also don't necessarily have to use the term "bioengineered food ingredients." Instead, they can use a QR code or a number to text or call to get more information.

Unexpected GMO foods (unless labeled as organic):
1. Yellow squash
2. Beets
3. Papaya
4. Eggplant
5. Green zucchini
6. Certain apples
7. Salmon (unless labeled as "wild-caught")

0:00 Introduction: Researching apple cider vinegar
0:30 Understanding apple cider vinegar
1:55 Unexpected benefits of apple cider vinegar
4:45 Check out my other video on apple cider vinegar (it has 14 million views)!

I recently did a deep dive on apple cider vinegar to see if there are any benefits I haven’t mentioned in other videos. Here is what I found.

The main acid in apple cider vinegar is acetic acid. Your microbes make acetic acid, and it’s the most abundant short-chain fatty acid in your body.

Acetic acid is like fuel for your colon cells. I’ve mentioned the popular benefits of apple cider vinegar in other videos, from boosting your energy to decreasing belly fat and much more. But let’s talk about some of the lesser-known apple cider vinegar benefits.

Unexpected benefits of apple cider vinegar (ACV):
1. Acetic acid in apple cider vinegar is a potent anti-inflammatory, especially for your gut—but be sure to dilute the ACV with water.

2. Apple cider vinegar helps support mucin, which can help decrease the risk of a leaky gut.

3. Apple cider vinegar has additional phenolic compounds, which have the potential to inhibit the formation of plaquing in the brain. These compounds also support cognitive function.

4. Certain medical procedures use acetic acid to help shrink tumors. This means the acetic acid in ACV has potential anticancer effects.

5. Acetic acid in ACV can help prevent the overgrowth of candida in someone with dentures.

6. Apple cider vinegar can be used for fungus in the ear.

7. Apple cider vinegar is beneficial for atopic dermatitis. A diluted ACV solution can help reduce inflammation on your skin.

8. Apple cider vinegar can help inhibit plaque formation in your arteries.

9. Apple cider vinegar is hepatoprotective. It helps protect the liver against certain heavy metals and certain harmful microbes.

You can burn fat for extreme weight loss, even with slow metabolism or other conditions that typically slow weight loss.

Timestamps:
0:00 How to burn fat despite having a slow metabolism (or other conditions that slow weight loss)
3:56 I touch on the condition called insulin resistance which is behind a weight plateau
6:19 I list excellent protein sources along with ones to avoid
14:20 Let’s talk about fat; good sources and the amounts to eat

In this webinar I’m going to talk about extreme weight loss: how to burn fat despite having a slow metabolism, plateauing in your weight loss, in menopause, or hypothyroid for example. Or if you just want to lose weight really quick. If you understand these principles you can lose as much weight as you want.

What I’m going to explain is a bit extreme but it’s also healthy. Be sure to check out my slides in this video for the complete details. You may want to take notes.

First, carbs and ketosis, which is fat burning. You need this to lose weight. Bring your carbs as close to zero per day as possible. But not quite zero since I recommend lemon juice, eggs, seeds, and leafy vegetables which all contain a small amount of carbs. Check the slide to see what to avoid.

Insulin resistance is behind a weight plateau. Your body doesn’t absorb insulin well, so too much builds up and you can’t lose weight. Dropping carbs and feeding microbes in your gut will correct insulin resistance. I recommend consuming 7-10 cups of vegetables a day but if you bloat, cut back then gradually increase.

The microbes will produce butyrate, which will help with insulin resistance. This is key!

The keto diet is a moderate-protein diet. Consume your fat with your protein, about 3-6 ounces per meal. You may need more if you’re larger. You need quality protein to build and repair muscles.

Fatty acids are also essential for your health. Again, check out my slides in this video webinar for complete information about good food sources of fatty acids.

I want you to consume foods that supply nutrients, including trace minerals. When possible, eat organic and grass-fed products including dairy if you consume it. For now, though, I recommend avoiding dairy which can slow down weight loss and cause inflammation. As well as nuts, which can cause digestive issues.

If your weight loss is stuck, keep your fat intake at 75 grams or less. See the slide for more details.

Be sure to watch the entire webinar to discover the rest of the principles you can put into effect in order to burn fat in a way to promote extreme weight loss.

Check out the benefits of fasting for your brain and find out how to boost your brainpower with intermittent fasting.

0:00 Introduction: Boost your brainpower with fasting
0:10 How to do the 18:6 fasting pattern
1:20 Ketones for your brain
3:40 Switching from glucose to ketones
4:58 Complications of running your brain on glucose
8:25 Benefits of fasting for your brain
11:37 A deeper look at the typical recommended diet
13:05 Check out my video on the best diet to optimize your brain health!

It always amazes me what fasting can do for your brain. To start seeing these incredible cognitive benefits, you have to fast for at least 18 hours a day.

With an 18:6 intermittent fasting pattern, you would fast for 18 hours and have a 6-hour eating window. This means no snacking while fasting. You can eat during your 6-hour window, but I recommend only two meals. If you are still hungry, add more fat at the end of your meals.

Ketones are very therapeutic for your brain. There are three ways to get your body to produce ketones:
1. Go on the keto diet
2. Fasting
3. Exercise

Many people have damage to their brains from chronic glucose exposure caused by a high-carb diet. Glucose is a poor fuel source for the brain. When you switch the brain’s fuel source from glucose to ketones, the ketones can bypass the damage and feed your neurons directly.

If you never switch to ketones, you are at a higher risk for diabetes and the complications that can come with diabetes, such as dementia, neuropathy, and diabetic autonomic neuropathy.

Diabetic autonomic neuropathy can manifest as:
• High pulse rate
• Exercise intolerance
• Orthostatic hypotension
• Gastroparesis
• Constipation
• Esophageal dysmotility

The potential benefits of fasting for your brain:
1. It helps slow down age-related brain decline and brain-related diseases
2. It allows the brain cells to get the fuel they need
3. It helps reduce inflammation in the brain
4. It helps stabilize neurons
5. It helps the nerves connect better
6. It supports genes that increase the repair action of neurons
7. It boosts antioxidants in certain parts of the brain
8. It causes autophagy, which recycles damaged proteins in the brain
9. It can help improve structures in the brain
10. It can help improve your mood
11. It supports your ability to learn and focus
12. It supports your memory
13. It helps improve your motor skills

1:14 Well known benefits of coffee
1:23 Unexpected coffee benefits
4:45 Check out my video on bulletproof coffee!

Let's talk about a few benefits of coffee you may have never heard before. Coffee can be addictive. To receive these benefits, you have to limit the amount of coffee you consume.

I drink one cup of organic coffee every day without sugar. Coffee is one of the most chemically treated crops, so it's important to only drink organic coffee. It's also crucial that you don't consume too much coffee because excess coffee consumption can have side effects.

Making bulletproof coffee by adding MCT oil and butter to your coffee can help you fast longer. However, don't add things like sugar and syrups to your coffee, which may cancel out the positive effects.

Too much coffee can have negative effects on your:
• Sleep
• Cholesterol
• Cardiac rhythm

Well known benefits of coffee:
• Coffee can improve your cognitive function
• Coffee can improve your physical performance
• Coffee can positively affect your mood

Unexpected potential benefits of coffee:
1. It can lower your risk of dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's

2. It can lower your risk of gallstones

3. It can lower your risk of kidney stones

4. It can give you an anti-carcinogenic effect

5. It has an anti-inflammatory effect

6. It can help with metabolic syndrome

7. It has the potential to decrease all-cause mortality

8. It is hepatoprotective

Chances are you’ve been consuming gray salmon that’s dyed pink. Here’s what you need to know.

DATA:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15506184/
https://www.researchgate.net/p....ublication/263169974

0:00 Introduction: Would you eat gray salmon?
0:35 Farm-raised salmon vs. wild-caught salmon
1:03 The dangers of farm-raised salmon
2:43 Benefits of natural pigments
5:12 Check out my video on wild-caught salmon!

Would you ever eat salmon that’s gray? If you consume farm-raised salmon, you’ve likely been eating gray salmon that’s dyed pink.

Salmon is one of the healthiest foods you could eat—if it’s the right kind. There is a big difference between farm-raised salmon and wild-caught salmon.

To make farm-raised salmon pink, they use synthetic astaxanthin. Natural astaxanthin has profound health benefits, but there aren’t any credible studies that show the synthetic version is safe for human consumption.

However, there has been a lot of research on synthetic antioxidants and the potential increased risk of cancer. Because the version of astaxanthin used in farm-raised salmon is a synthetic antioxidant, you should be aware there are no safety studies on it.

Other foods, like egg yolks and chicken, can also be dyed to achieve a color that people will pay more for. This is just another reason why you should consume wild-caught salmon, pasture-raised organic eggs, and organic chicken.

Benefits of natural astaxanthin:
• It’s 50 times stronger than synthetic astaxanthin in its ability to counter oxidation
• It’s 20 times stronger than synthetic astaxanthin in its ability to handle free radicals
• It has benefits for your eyes, brain, heart, and immune system
• It can provide UV protection
• It has anti-inflammatory properties
• It comes as a complex with at least five other carotenoids
